Zarqa city is concidered as the second city in jordan after he capital Amman in terms of population and economic activity, Zarqa is located northeast of Amman after twenty miles of itand is characterized by its geographical location between the Mediterranean cities of the kingdom and the transportation network An international between Jordan and neighboring countries. The area of ?? Zarqa city 60 square km and a population of 700 thousand inhabitants, which are of a desert climate, dry summers with little rainfall in winter and it is provided by the basic infrastructure of services so that Zarqa concedered as the industrial capital of Jordan, where of 52% of the industries of all types and are always a magnet for people from all throughout the kingdom, a city of soldiers and cranks strong producer.

Zarqa Municipality was established in 1348 AH corresponding to 1928 AD and the first municipal council consist of five members headed by the late Baha al-Din Abdullah.
